CCF Tea - the Miracle Digestive Aid!
A soothing and earthy combination of three classic culinary spices—cumin, coriander, and fennel — this herbal tea, which has a long history of use in Ayurveda, aids in the absorption of nutrients, stimulates the lymphatic system, and is beneficial for the digestive system in reducing gas and bloating.
Ingredients:
1/2 teaspoon whole fennel seeds
1/2 teaspoon whole coriander seeds
1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon whole cumin seeds (to taste, as not everyone is crazy about the taste of cumin)
4 - 5 cups of water
Instructions:
Heat the water in a stainless steel pot over high heat. Add the seeds. Allow the tea to boil for 5 minutes without a cover. Reduce heat and let it simmer gently for another 5 to 10 minutes. Strain out the seeds, place in an insulated thermos, and sip throughout the day.
or
you can make it by the cup. Simply halve the quantities (1/4 teaspoon of each, in a cup and a half of hot water).
If you get into the habit of making this tea daily, you can prepare a bigger batch ahead of time:
Add half a cup of cumin, half a cup of coriander, and half a cup of fennel to a glass jar and shake well to mix. Each morning, simply add 1 ½ teaspoons of the blend to the hot water.
